Recreational Opportunities!

The City of Mountain Grove has many opportunities of recreation, for all ages!

We have three parks; Ina Crandall, Cedar, and Alumni Parks.

Ina Crandall is located on the West central side of town; it has picnic areas with grills, shelter houses and restrooms available. Ina Crandall Park is also home to our Municipal Pool. Ina Crandall Park will also be getting new swing sets in the summer of 2018!

Cedar Park is our main park it is 38 acres with play equipment for all ages, a walking trail, picnic areas and shelter houses. Just like Ina Crandlall new swing sets will be installed during the summer of 2018!

• Long term project: To build an All Inclusive Playground at Cedar Park. Plans are underway to encourage a civic group or a group of like minded citizens to start the planning and fund raising process for such a park during 2018

Cedar Park also has tennis courts, basketball court, a skate board park, ball diamonds, Sand Volleyball courts and is home to the Tri-County Fairgrounds.

The City of Mountain Grove and the YMCA has a unique partnership working together to provide youth league soccer, baseball, basketball programs and more. The YMCA is located in a building owned by the City they have two basketball courts, exercise room with lots of different equipment, exercise classes and an after school program for children. Mountain Grove is also home to one of the most unique Alumni Parks you will ever come across. This park was built and is managed by the School Alumni Association. The city assist with mowing of grass and scheduling events at the park. The park is beautifully landscaped with three shelters with picnic table and one large shelter with picnic tables. The large shelter also has a bathroom and a kitchen/serving area. Around the outside wall of the park are stone monuments with the class members of each graduation year, it is truly a beautiful park.

Alumni Park can be rented at very reasonable rates, all you need to do is call City Hall 417-926-4162 to get your date(s) reserved.
